This week, former National Football League Hall of Famer Brett Favre revealed that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He was at the top of the Game for two decades and had spoken on previous occasions about the number of concussions he has suffered during his time on the field.

The 54-year-old said “Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” the 54-year-old said. “I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.”

Favre gets no sympathy from Sterger

But while plenty of messages of support came in – including that of Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy – one person appeared to have no sympathy for the former Falcons, Packers, Jets and Vikings player, namely Jenn Sterger.

“PSA: Please don’t send me links to it. I’ve seen it. I can read,” Sterger began on her Instagram story. “I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but I know Karma never forgets an address. Imagine being diagnosed with such a terrible disease and not having the resources to fight it bc some Hall-of-Fame quarterback stole it?

“Those are the people that need your attention, support, and sympathy. And at least now, his pictures won’t be in focus. Mississippi you deserve better.”

What’s the beef between Sterger and Favre?

It’s worth noting that Sterger, a former Jets host, accused Favre of sending her explicit photos and very inappropriate text messages in 2008, the year he was at the New York franchise. Her online comment also refers to the welfare scandal in Mississippi that Favre was linked to, one in which he is alleged to have mishandled welfare projects.

The symptoms of Parkinson’s typically include a tremor in the hands, arms, legs, jaw, or head of the sufferer. Muscle stiffness, slowness of movement and impaired balance and coordination, can also be experienced. Favre has spoken out about the number of concussions he had across his career.
