Yokohama overcame Ulsan Hyundai in a thrilling penalty shootout, winning 5-4 after the two legs ended 3-3 on aggregate. Despite a challenging match that included a comeback, two conceded goals, and a red card, Yokohama showed resilience under Kewell’s guidance.
The decisive penalty was scored by Carlos Eduardo after goalkeeper William Popp’s crucial save against Ulsan’s Kim Min-woo.
The victory sets up a final showdown with Al Ain, promising an exciting climax to the tournament for Yokohama F. Marinos under Harry Kewell’s leadership.
It will be great for Harry Kewell to win something with the club at the first time of asking.
