It was a well-known fact that Celtic were keen to add a striker to their ranks in January, bringing in Adam Idah towards the end of the window.

The loan signing didn’t please many, with some speculating that it could be a signing to fill a gap temporarily until a long-term solution was found.

A striker who was linked to a move to Glasgow in the summer, Mathias Kvistgaarden, was linked again in the winter, but his parent club Brondby weren’t keen on sanctioning a move during the season.

The Danish U21 international may be on the move after Brondby’s manager hinted at an uncertain future for the striker, who is currently out injured.

Jesper Sorensen cast doubt on the player to make his injury return at the club. “I have told him that he will come back even stronger… It is a minor bump on a long and good road for him,” Sorensen told Danish outlet Tipsbladet, as quoted by RecordSport. When asked if Kvistgaarden had played his last Game for Brondby, he added, “That’s a good question. I’d rather not speculate on it. I hope not, but we’ll have to see.”

He’s certainly a name to keep an eye on this summer, as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his squad for the upcoming season.
