1:28 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 2) – Up On The Edge 2/1 (2-star play)

Trained by Rodolphe Brisset the filly has shown good form finishing runner-up on all three starts since debuting with a four length fourth in a six furlong maiden special weight at Ellis Park in July. The daughter of Upstart was beaten eight-and-a-half-lengths by subsequent winner Thorpedo Anna in a seven furlong maiden special weight at Keeneland a month ago and stepping back up to a mile looks capable of breaking her maiden with Alex Achard booked to ride.  

4:48 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 9) – Wico 5/2 (2-star play)

The son of No Nay Never boasts a good record on the main track with two wins and a second from his three starts with the latest of those wins seeing him draw four-and-three-quarter-lengths clear of his rivals in a seven furlong allowance at Keeneland last month. The colt has delivered a couple of good five furlong works here this month including a 1:00.80 last weekend and stepping back up to a mile he is taken to complete a double. 

5:48 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 11) – Northern Invader 3/1 (2-star play)

The three-year-old impressed hwen registering an eight length victory in a mile maiden special weight at Belmont Park at the start of July. The colt subsequently recorded a fair fifth in a six runner renewal of the Grade 2 Secretariat Stakes at Colonial Downs. Cherie DeVaux’s colt returned ot winning ways when recording his first stakes victory in the Gio Ponti over a mile at Aqueduct last month and with Jose Ortiz up he can follow up in this event.
