Horse Racing picks for Aqueduct race track on Sunday, November 19: Spirit Prince picks up a win

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Aqueduct race track.

1:18 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 3) – Bendoog 4/5 (2-star play)

Bill Mott’s colt showed good form in Dubai earlier this year placing in two rounds of the Al Maktoum Challenge at Meydan. The second of those efforts saw the Gun Runner colt lose out by two lengths in a mile-and-a-quarter Grade 1 contest prior to registering a sixth in the Grade 1 Dubai World Cup over the same track and trip in March. The pick looks up to resuming with a win following some impressive morning works of late.

2:15 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 5) – Spirit Prince 7/2 (2-star play)

The son of Cairo Prince has finished on the board in all four previous starts and while he is without a win to date he has shown that he can be competitive in stakes company. The colt registered a one-and-a-half-length third having attempted to make all in the Grade 2 Pilgrim Stakes over a mile-and-one-sixteenth here on his penultimate start and can go one better than when runner-up in the Awad Stakes over the same track and trip subsequently.

3:14 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 7) – Regal Realm 9/5 (2-star play)

Trained by Jonathan Thomas the filly has won five of her 12 starts to date including four of her last five outings. The selection registered her first Graded stakes success when racing from the front to take out the Grade 3 Ladies Turf Stakes over a mile at Kentucky Downs in September. Jose Ortiz’s mount has been given a break since then and is taken to deliver a victory on just her second start over the mile-and-one-sixteenth trip.
