FIFA unveil Club World Cup logo and official audio with help from DJ Khaled
To date, we know that the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup will be staged in the USA running from 15 June-13 July in 2025 and will feature 32 of the biggest names in club Football (Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, Al Ahly, Al Hilal, PSG...) with teams qualifying based on sporting merit across a four-year cycle with continental champions rewarded.
We have still yet to learn where the Games will be staged and how fans can attend Games and how those based outside the US can tune in with FIFA confirming that these details will be issued in due course.
Today (4 September) saw the unveiling of the official logo for the competition with everything now pointing to the new tournament actually being called the Club World Cup as opposed to the Spanish version, Mundial FIFA de Clubes which was originally contemplated.
The ‘audio signature’ for the new comPetition was also confirmed and will feature Gala’s Freed from Desire, which has become a Football anthem for fans across the planet. Miami based hip-hop producer DJ Khaled was also on hand to lend a hand in promoting the comPetition with a short video on social media where the 48-year-old showcased some ball control and confirmed his love for the emblem staying, ‘true champions are true icons’.
Infantino on 2025 CWC
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: “What a special moment. Today, we launched the brand of the new FIFA Club World Cup – the start of a new era in club football.”
“Thirty-two of the best clubs from all corners of the world will be comPeting in the United States in June and July 2025. They are at the heart of the tournament. And we cannot wait. Thirty-two of the best clubs globally will meet on the world stage and only one will be crowned world champions.”
“So we want you – the fans from across the world – to share your club stories, to bring your love, your passion, your support; to show what your club is made of, and take it to the world.”
