This week, Draftkings LPGA Tour Golf fans will be presented with the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic.

Where will the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic be played?

The 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic will be played at the Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan. The golf course is par 72 that measures 6,556 yards.

The Meijer LPGA Classic has been played at the Blythefield Country Club since the tournament’s debut on the LPGA Tour in 2014. *The tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

How will the Meijer LPGA Classic cut be determined?

The Meijer LPGA Classic will have a field of 144 players to start the tournament on Thursday. Upon the completion of two rounds, a cut will occur. The top 65 Golfers (including ties) will make the cut.

2024 Meijer LPGA Classic Draftkings Player Selections

Nelly Korda $12,000

The talented American arrives at this week’s event playing simply outstanding golf. Let me be more specific. Since the beginning of January, Nelly Korda has played nine tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those nine events just noted, Korda accumulated eight top 16 finishes, including an astounding five wins (2024 Mizuho Americas Open: 2024 Chevron Championship: 2024 Ford Championship: 2024 Se Ri Pak Championship: 2024 LPGA Drive-On Championship).

Nelly Korda also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Nelly Korda is currently ranked first in GIR (greens in regulation-74.75%), second in putts per GIR (1.74), 18th in total birdies made (141), and first in overall scoring average (69.61) on the LPGA Tour.

Since 2017, Nelly Korda has played the Meijer LPGA Classic five times. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Korda accumulated four top nine finishes, including a win in 2021. Based on the data just presented, I think it’s fair to say that Korda enjoys competing at the Meijer LPGA Classic.

Ayaka Furue $10,300

Ayaka Furue has accumulated three top seven finishes, including an impressive second place result at last week’s 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Due to Ayaka Furue’s quality finish at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Furue fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of comPetitive play at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic, in relation to the field, Ayaka Furue ranked ninth in driving accuracy (85.7%), 11th in strokes gained tee to green (1.58), 13th in strokes gained approach (.685), and ninth in strokes gained putting (1.12).

Furue has played well at the Blythefield Country Club in the past. Furue finished 13th at the 2023 Meijer LPGA Classic.

Narin An $7,900

Narin An has accumulated five top 30 finishes in her last eight tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2024 ShopRite Classic.

Similar to Korda and Furue, Narin An has played well at this week’s LPGA Tour event previously. An finished 20th at the 2023 Meijer LPGA Classic.
