Draftkings Best KLM Open DFS Player Selections 6/20/24

This week, the DP World Tour returns to the Golf schedule with the 2024 KLM Open. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 KLM Open.

Where will the KLM Open be played?

The 2024 KLM Open will be played at the International in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 6,940 yards.

The International last hosted the KLM Open in 2019. Sergio Garcia won the 2019 KLM Open with a four round cumulative score of 18 under par.

Will the KLM Open have a traditional cut after two rounds?

The KLM Open will begin the event on Thursday with a field of 156 golfers. Upon the completion of two rounds of competitive play at the 2024 KLM Open a traditional cut will occur. The top 65 players (with ties) will advance to play the third round.

2024 KLM Open Draftkings Picks

Matt Wallace $10,000

Matt Wallace has accumulated three top 27 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth place result at the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson six weeks ago.

It should also be noted that Matt Wallace played at a high level the last time the KLM Open was played at the International. Wallace finished third at the 2019 KLM Open.

Bernd Wiesberger $9,400

The talented Austrian arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of four consecutive top 24 finishes (DP World and China Golf Tour), including a second-place result at the 2024 European Open two weeks ago.

Bernd Wiesberger certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Wiesberger is currently ranked second in GIR (greens in regulation-72.9%), third in overall scoring average (69.77), first in bogey avoidance per round (2.01), fifth in strokes gained on par fours (3.96), third in strokes gained tee to green (2.03), and fifth in strokes gained approach (0.96) on the DP World Tour.

Romain Langasque $8,300

Three weeks ago, Romain Langasque fired a final round 67 at the 2024 Soudal Open en route to an eventual second place finish. I like Langasque’s chances to continue his quality play at this week’s KLM Open.

Paul Waring $7,900

Paul Waring has accumulated two top ten finishes in his last four tournaments played (DP World and China Golf Tours combined), including a third-place result at the 2024 China Open last month.

Similar to Bernd Wiesberger, Paul Waring is playing some quality Golf from a statistical perspective. Paul Waring is currently ranked fourth in bogey avoidance per round (2.24), third in strokes gained on par fours (3.94), seventh in scrambling (65.43%), 11th in overall scoring average (70.02), and 13th in total birdies made per round (4.46) on the DP World Tour.
