Draftkings Best CPKC Women’s Open Player Selections 7/25/24

This week, Draftkings Golf fans will be presented with the 2024 CPKC Women’s Open. Let’s take a look at this week’s LPGA event from a DFS perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 CPKC Women’s Open.

Where will the 2024 CPKC Women’s Open be played?

The 2024 CPKC Women’s Open will be played at the Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Golf course is par 72 that measures approximately 6,709 yards.

Megan Khang won the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open with a cumulative four round score of nine under par.

How will the CPKC Women’s Open cut be determined?

The 2024 CPKC Women’s Open will have a field of 156 players to start the tournament on Thursday. Upon the completion of two rounds, a cut will occur. The top 65 golfers (including ties) will make the cut and move on to play the third round. The remaining golfers will miss the cut.

2024 CPKC Women’s Open Draftkings Player Selections

Brooke Henderson $9,600

The talented Canadian has accumulated three top 27 finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a 22nd result at the 2024 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last month.

Brooke Henderson has played well at this week’s event in the past. More specifically, Henderson finished third at the 2019 CPKC Women’s Open.

Ally Ewing $9,800

Ally Ewing has accumulated four consecutive top ten finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a third-place result at the 2024 United States Women’s Open six weeks ago. I love Ally Ewing’s chances of posting another quality result in Canada this week.

Hye Jin Choi $8,900

Hye Jin Choi arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 16 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including an impressive seventh place result at the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship three weeks ago.

Hye Jin Choi also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Choi is currently ranked ninth in GIR (greens in regulation-71.73%), ninth in total birdies made (197), and 21st in total rounds under par (25).

Similar to Brooke Henderson, Hye Jin Choi has played well at this event previously. Choi finished second at the 2022 CPKC Women’s Open.

Jenny Shin $8,200

Jenny Shin has accumulated three top 19 finishes in her last four events played on the LPGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic seven weeks ago.

Due to Jenny Shin’s impressive ninth-place finish at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Shin fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of comPetitive play at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic, in relation to the field, Jenny Shin ranked eighth in driving distance (272.1 yards), third in strokes gained approach (2.060), and 14th in strokes gained tee to green (1.863).
