Falcons Offense Looks to Be Better

In the first preseason Game the Falcons faced off against the Miami Dolophins and they were defeated 20-13. At the end of the first quarter the Falcons were up 10-3, but as the Game went on they couldn’t hold on and the defense gave up 14 points in the second quarter and that was the difference. Kirk Cousins didn’t play in the first Game, but Michael Penix Jr got plenty of run, completing 9 of his 16 passes 104 yards. Taylor Heinicke and Nathan Rourke also played under ccenter and didn’t find as much success. Carlos Washington found the end zone on the ground and rushed 166 times for 25 yards. Chris Blair was the top receiver catching two passes for 45 yards. In this Game the passing needs to be better, especially whoever is after Penix Jr. 

Ravens Off to a Slow Start

The Ravens struggled in the first Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, especially with the offense and that led to the defeat. The Ravens tried to comeback in the 4th quarter scoring a touchdown but by that point it was too late and they ended up losing 16-13. The Ravens had some major issues moving the ball through the air. Devin Leary completed 6 of his 10 passes for 37 yards. Josh Johnson also completed 4 of his 12 passes for 62 yards. Owen Wright rushed seven times for 33 yards. Much like the Falcons, the Ravens are going to need to fnd a way to get the offense going here. If the offense struggles here they are going to allow the Falcons to stick around, and maybe even let them secure the victory.
