The Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins meet in week 2 NFL Preseason action from Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders Prediction.

Washington Commanders Recap

The Washington CoMMAnders started their preseason with a 20-17 loss to the New York Jets to fall to 0-1. After this week 2 tilt with the Dolphins, the CoMMAnders will head home to take on the Patriots in their preseason finale.

Daniels Makes Debut

In the loss to the Jets, Jayden Daniels made his debut and threw for 45 yards on 2 for 3 passing while Jeff Driskel threw for 87 yards on 7 of 15 passing and Sam Hartman threw for 83 yards on 8 of 13 passing. Michael Wiley led the CoMMAnders in rushing with 34 rushing yards and a touchdown while the aforementioned Daniels scampered for 3 yards and a score as well. Ben Sinnott led the CoMMAnders with 3 receptions for 57 receiving yards while Dyami Brown added a pair of receptions for 55 yards. On defense, Percy Butler led the CoMMAnders with 5 total tackles while Benning Potoa’e added a sack as well in the defeat.

Miami Dolphins Recap

The Miami Dolphins kicked off their preseason by edging out the Atlanta Falcons with a 20-13 victory over the Falcons to start the preseason 1-0. After their week 2 clash with Washington, Miami will head back to the Sunshine State for an in-state matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dolphins Run Over Falcons

In the win over Atlanta, Skylar Thompson threw for 95 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 8 of 19 passing while Mike White threw for 26 yards on 4 of 14 passing, but Jaylen Wright led the Game with 55 rushing yards and a touchdown and Chris Brooks added 40 rushing yards as well on 12 carries. Tanner Conner led Miami’s receivers with 3 grabs for 70 yards while Jeff Wilson Jr. chipped in 3 receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Patrick McMorris and Curtis Bolton each had a team-high 8 total tackles with McMorris adding 7 solo tackles and 2 tackles for a loss while Channing Tindall had 7 total tackles and a sack.

Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders Prediction

I’m leaning towards the CoMMAnders here. I didn’t love what I saw from Miami’s backup QBs and even if Tua sees some action here, I also didn’t like the 4 fumbles that Miami had in that win over the Falcons. The CoMMAnders showed some signs of promise, especially at QB, and I like what the CoMMAnders have going for them here. I think that Washington puts up a fight here and gets the road win in this one. Give me the CoMMAnders.
