After Military Discharge BTS’ Jin to Appear in a Variety Show: Here’s Everything to Know
BTS ARMY recently celebrated the return of Jin following his army enlistment. While some lucky fans got to see the K-Pop star in a special fan meeting, others are waiting to see what projects the singer will be seen in next. Word on the street is that the ‘worldwide handsome’ Jin of BTS is set to appear in a variety show — with news of the same spreading like wildfire. Here’s what we know about it all so far.
Visual, vocalist, and the oldest member of one of the biggest K-pop groups in the world — BTS’ Jin was discharged from mandatory Military service last month. Recently, he took to the web platform Weverse to give fans — or ARMY, as they’re officially called — an insight into all that he has lined up for the future. This included an update on the song Super Tuna, his acting plans, a potential meet-and-greet, and other future projects. Jin also noted that he’d worked on a reality show — with MBC backing the news and adding that the BTS member had wrapped filming. Here’s all about it.

A report by Soompi reveals that the variety show is titled The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island — with BTS’ Jin being a guest worker. In the program, TV personality Ahn Jung Hwan and his workers run a ‘half-star hotel’ on a deserted island — hoping to provide five-star service to the guests while helping them escape the hustle of the city. Media company MBC confirmed the news, stating “BTS’s Jin has already finished filming, and the broadcast schedule is not yet decided.”

On his end, the singer had hinted at a variety show appearance to fans in an interaction online. He’d also added that he had no plans of acting and that he had put the release of his song Super Tuna on hold since fellow member Jimin was set to drop his new album. “I’m slowly making progress on plans I made in the Military, one by one. Showing my face as much as I can but also doing my main job,” Indian Express quoted him saying. “The final products will all be released a few months later so please wait just a little bit more,” he added.
Fellow BTS member J-hope is set to be discharged in October 2024. Noting this, Jin noted lightheartedly, “Wow, Hope-ah, there’s not long left. You better get ready to work hard too! I only took one day off after I got out!”
