Adam Idah, who was the Celtic hero last month with his last-minute goal in the Scottish Cup final, is raising eyebrows on social media. After securing the double for Celtic and sending Rangers into another spiral, Idah is now enjoying a well-deserved summer break. However, his recent Instagram story has set tongues wagging among the Celtic support online.

Back on Norwich City’s books after his loan spell at Celtic ended, Idah’s future remains uncertain. While he relaxes on holiday, he’s not doing much to dispel the rumours of a potential permanent move to Celtic Park. On Tuesday, the 22-year-old posted an image of his friends on holiday with the iconic song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” playing in the background.

For those not in the loop, Celtic fans have embraced the song as a kind of unofficial anthem, belting it out as the Bhoys lifted the SPFL trophy in May. The timing of Idah’s choice of soundtrack is, to say the least, intriguing.

Optimistic Celtic supporters are interpreting this as a hint that Idah wants to make his stay at Celtic permanent. The sentiment is understandable—after all, his cup final heroics and contributions to the league campaign have etched his name into the hearts of many. Yet, the reality is a bit more complex.

Idah’s future isn’t entirely in his hands. Norwich, with a new manager at the helm, may be reluctant to part with a promising young talent. Any move would likely require a significant transfer fee, something that could complicate negotiations.

While some fans are letting their imaginations run wild, it’s equally possible that Idah simply enjoys the song. It might have found its way into his playlist thanks to the Celtic fans, and he might just be sharing a bit of that holiday vibe.

Whatever the case, we hope one way or another Idah’s future is sorted. We either sign the big man, or move on to make sure we get in a high calibre talent before the season begins.
