The round of 16 is officially set at Euro 2024 with Turkiye and Georgia booking the final spots as Group F came to a close. They'll join Romania, Austria, England, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, France, Denmark, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Slovenia in the last 16. During Georgia's first-ever appearance in the Euros, they defeated Portugal against all odds to become one of the best-placed third-placed teams while Turkiye took advantage of an early Czechia red card to come out on top of a Game full of cards and drama.

There will be some marquee matchups as France and Belgium will headline the round of 16 on July 1 but Germany and Denmark is another clash that won't disappoint. With surprise teams Romania and Austria winning their groups, it means that one side of the bracket will include Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, and Belgium while the other sees one of the tournament favorites in England will be on the opposite side of the bracket. Here's what happened:

Czechia 1, Turkiye 2: Yellow cards for everyone

In a game of cards, Czechia can feel hard done as Jan Kuchta had the ball in the back of the net in the 80th minute of play for a go-ahead goal but it was pulled back for a phantom foul. This is after Antonin Barak was already sent off in the 20th minute due to collecting two yellow cards. Turkiye would have to wait until the 51st minute to get their opening goal via their captain Hakan Calhanoglu but Tomas Soucek was able to equalize for his side. The match had a bit of everything, but with 14 yellow cards handed out to players on and off the pitch, there were more cards than shots on target during the tie where the loser would be knocked out of Euros.

Georgia 2, Portugal 0: History for Georgia

Against the odds Georgia are making their first Euros appearance a memorable one as they've qualified for the round of 16 with a victory over Portugal. Khvichia Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring only two minutes into the match with an excellent finish on Georgies Mikauadze's pass but then the Metz man scored from the spot after a penalty was awarded due to a challenge by Antonio Silva. That goal takes Mikauadze to the top of the Golden Boot standings. There is now a five-way tie behind the forward of players with two goals but his three are atop the pile.

Slovakia 1, Romania 1: Romania win Group E

Răzvan Marin's penalty gave Romania the unexpected win of Group E after the side coached by Edward Iordanescu drew 1-1 against Slovakia, a result which also qualified Slovakia for the next round. Ondrej Duda's opener was followed a few minutes later by the penalty scored by Marin. It's a historic day for both national teams. Romania will face either Slovenia or the Netherlands, while Slovakia will get one of the tournament heavyweights in either Spain or England in the next round.

Ukraine 0, Belgium 0: Tedesco's team qualify

Despite another disappointment, Belgium qualified for the Round of 16 after drawing 0-0 against Ukraine and eliminating them from the comPetition. Domenico Tedesco's team had some chances, but the final draw give them the chance to face France in the Round of 16 as they ended up second in the Group E. Ukraine are knocked out of the tournament despite four points in three Games, same as the other teams of the group. They become the only team in the current 24 team format to fail to advance despite getting four points.
