5 Can’t Miss County Fairs in New York

Nothing says summer more than a trip to your favorite county fair. Luckily in New York, we have a bunch of fairs, which all offer tons to do for the whole family.

What's also nice is the fairs are planned so you can get to them all. You could make a summer out of Traveling to a different fair every weekend. They all offer Entertainment and rides not to mention all the delicious fair food. You can also count on them having lots of local favorites too. Fair food and goodies will also be front and center.

The Orange County Fair in Middletown, New York

The 184th Annual Orange County Fair will be held July 18th through July 28th, 2024 at the Orange County Fairgrounds on Wisner Avenue in Middletown, New York. Once again this year the fair will have live tribute bands, tons of rides, and Big Bee the Transforming Robot.

The Ulster County Fair in New Paltz, New York

The Ulster County Fair will be held July 30th through August 4th at the Ulster County Fair Grounds on Libertyville Road in New Paltz, New York. This is the fair known for their pay-one-price wristband which includes nightly entertainment and fair attractions.

Schedule to perform at the main stage is The Marshall Tucker Band, Mark Wills, Raelynn, and more. This entertainment is included in the price of your fair admission.

The Delaware County Fair in Walton, New York

The 137th Delaware County Fair runs Monday, August 12th through Sunday, August 17th this year at 12 Fair Street in Walton, New York. They run a full day of events and Entertainment that includes live music, 4-H events, a Karaoke contest, and even a demolition derby.

New this year and just announced the fair will also have AgriPuppets. Fun for kids and adults AgriPuppet is a puppet show that blends entertainment with education, with a focus on the wonders of agriculture. Get Tickets for the fair starting July 13th, 2024.

The Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck, New York

The 178th Dutchess County Fair will open Tuesday, August 20th, and run through Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, New York. As in years past the Dutchess County Fair has planned headlining entertainment for the grandstand that includes Country star Tracy Byrd, KISSNATION a KISS tribute band, and Rick Springfield.

The Columbia County Fair in Chatham, New York

The 183rd Annual Columbia County Fair will be held August 28th through September 2nd, 2024 at 32 Church Street Route 203 in Chatham, New York, This is a great place to wrap up your summer of family Entertainment.
