Want to make an excursion to see the latest animal viral sensation? Here’s how you can see the adorable golden tiger Ava at Chiang Mai Night Safari.

As the world continues to devolve into chaos, people around the world have found refuge in adorable Animals living carefree lives. Moo Deng, of course, was the one who kicked it all off though a cohort of cute Animals have now joined the fray (see TikToker Indy Pine’s aptly-named Knights of the Rotund Table). Now Thailand has added yet another adorable creature: Ava, the golden tiger with a beautiful mane. If you want to get ahead of the inevitable crowd that will go and visit here, here’s how you can go and see Ava, Chiang Mai Night Safari’s very own golden tiger.

How do I get there?

First thing’s (and the most obvious thing) first: get to Chiang Mai. The Chiang Mai Night Safari is about 30 minutes away from the city centre. The zoo also offers accommodations you can stay in if you prefer that. Prices start at THB 1,800.

As for getting there, Grab is your best bet or you can charter one of the iconic red songtaews to take you.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be bought online here. The Safari Tram costs THB 1,200 and the Jaguar Trail costs THB 400—for foreigners. Those able to read Thai will clock the fact that the price for locals is in Thai, which is weird because Thai numerals are rarely used nowadays, and that the prices are significantly lower: THB 300 for the Safari Tram and THB 50 for the Jaguar Trail.

Where can I see Ava?

Ava is located in the Tiger World where the Tiger Show is also held. Keep an eye out for her sister Luna as well. The both of them are bound to be prowling around.

When is the zoo open?

Chiang Mai Night Safari is open everyday from 11am until 10pm. However, Tiger World also has its own hours. Tiger World is open from 11am until 6pm from Monday until Thursday. On Friday, the weekend, and public holidays, it’s open from 11am until 8pm.

Are there other things to do there?

There are plenty of other things to do in the zoo as well. They’ve got a Petting zoo, a tiger show, and an opportunity to take photos with small Animals. You can check out the full list of their scheduled activities here.
