2 Surprising Teams Linked To Possible Devin Booker Trade With Suns

The Phoenix Suns came up short once again in this year’s playoffs. As a result, many are now wondering if serious changes need to be made to the composition of the roster.

Earlier this week, Kevin Durant was linked to potential trades with two different teams.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ best offer for him, in particular, caused quite the stir.

Now some of the attention has turned to Devin Booker.

This past week, Ric Bucher of Fox Sports identified two teams to watch in the race to pry assets away from the Suns. Those two teams? The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

“San Antonio has the assets to get (Booker),” a Western Conference exec told Bucher. “So does Oklahoma City. And it’s really the only way Phoenix can change course.”

Booker also apparently has the best value out of any of Phoenix’s big three because of his age and skillset.

“KD probably gets you the Jrue Holiday Package,” an Eastern Conference executive told Bucher.

“Booker gets the Mortgage-the-franchise-to-acquire-him package. Meaning you’d give up all your future assets to get him. Beal you’d need to give up multiple picks to get off of him.”

What will the Suns ultimately look like when the 2024 NBA season rolls around? Time will tell.
