The Cavs go up against the Magic in game 7 of their fascinating playoff series. With the score tied at 3-3, the game at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is all-or-nothing, with a potential semi-final place against the Boston Celtics on the line.

Ahead of the crunch game, the Cavs fans were given a huge boost regarding the fitness of one of their top players who has been on everyone’s mind since he was seen limping in game 6.

It was back in game 3 where Cleveland superstar Donovan Mitchell aggravated a lingering knee injury that has kept him awake at night since the All-Star break.

What injury did Donovan Mitchell have?

Mitchell is a key figure on the court for the Cavs, averaging 27 points and 4.3 assists so far. As mentioned, fans put their heads in their hands as he was captured limping in the previous game, with a persistent knee issue clearly still troubling him.

Hopes have been raised ahead of Game 7, however, as the official NBA injury report does not (at the time of writing) have Mitchell listed as injured. He has been taking precautions by wearing a protective sleeve on his leg in order to increase his chances of playing - it seems to have worked and he will be ready to play.

Jarrett Allen, Ty Jerome, Craig Porter Jr. and Dean Wade are all listed, with the former down as ‘questionable’ and the other three confirmed as ‘out’ of the game.

Cavaliers vs. Magic start time

The Game between the Cavs and the Magic, the one that will decide who goes through, will tip off on Sunday 5 April at 1pm ET at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, where the home side will be looking to use their passionate faNBAse to push them through.
