What is the cut line at the 2024 Cognizant Classic? Who won’t be playing this weekend?

The windy conditions at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches in Florida are making it tough on players to score low on Friday. Lots of water hazards, hard greens, tough pin placements and a stiff breeze are frustrating Golfers, who are struggling to make birdies on the bermuda grass greens.

On Friday Chad Ramey and S.H. Kim managed to shoot 7-under par with a group of five Golfers right behind them at -6: Andrew Novak, Ryan Moore, Austin Eckroat, Cameron Young, Chesson Hadley and David Skins.

So, how about some of the big names?

Rickie Fowler is playing some solid golf and is at the top part of the leaderboard after getting an early start of Friday. European Ryder Cup teammates Shane Lowry, Rory McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick are currently at 5-under par.

What is the cut line at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches?

The standard PGA Tour cut rules apply with the top 65 players and ties advancing through to the weekend after the end of the second round.

Who are some big names who won’t be playing this weekend?

At the moment Sepp Straka, another member of the European Ryder Cup team, won’t be playing Saturday or Sunday after shooting 74 on Friday. Speaking of the Ryder Cup, US team captain Zach Johnson is also a candidate to the miss the cut. Crowd favorite and Netflix star Joel Dahmen will be packing his bags as well after going +2 after two rounds.We’ll keep you posted here as play continues on Friday.
