Timeless Visions: SaloneSatellite 25th Anniversary Debuts in Hong Kong

Marking the 25th anniversary of the illustrious SaloneSatellite, Salone del Mobile.Milano brings the SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection 1998-2024 to Hong Kong for the very first time from November 11 to 21, 2024.

In a celebration of artistry and innovation, Salon del Mobile.Milano invites the world to experience a milestone event in Hong Kong: The 25th anniversary of SaloneSatellite and the first unveiling of the SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection 1998-2024 exhibition. Presented in partnership with the International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong (IDFFHK) and Designworks Foundation, this grand showcase makes its debut at the Arts Pavillion: West Kowloon Cultural District this November, marking 25 years of cutting-edge design and innovation.

The grand opening of the event will take place on November 11, where luminaries from the world of design will gather to celebrate. Among those attending the esteemed inauguration is the President of SaloneSatellite.Milano Ms. Maria Porro and the Founder and Curator of SaloneSatellite Ms. Marva Griffin Wilshire, alongside Italy’s distinguished representatives. It is a moment set to introduce Hong Kong as the burgeoning epicentre for design.

The event officially opens from November 11-21, 2024, with free admission to the public from 11 am – 7 pm daily. Hong Kong Design Annex, November 1-7, 2024

As a prelude to the landmark Salone event, the Hong Kong Design Annex will showcase Hong Kong-based talent in furniture and lighting design in its exhibition. This event, conceptualised by award-winning design duo Lim + Lu, will be held at the Arts Pavillion, West Kowloon Cultural District from November 1-7, with free admission to the public from 11 am-7 pm daily. It aims to bridge the philosophies of local and international design while celebrating cultures and fostering the exchange of ideas in sustainability and design appreciation.

Dialogue Speakers Series IV, November 1-2, 2024

The Design Annex will feature Dialogue Speakers Series IV, a moderated panel discussion to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of exhibition curation and design thinking. The talks will be held by 11 of the most stellar design architects such as Elaine Ng from The Fabrick Lab, Vincent Lim and Elaine Lu from Lim + Lu, and many more.
