Bradley’s future as a journalist remains uncertain, with Reese Witherspoon unable to confirm if her character will end up in jail. “Everybody keeps asking me if Bradley’s in jail,” Witherspoon said in a press conference moderated by Deadline adding, “I don’t know if I’m in trouble.”

The aftermath of the merger of the two media companies, UBA and NBN, is expected to be a central focus, raising questions about job security and the survival of certain programs. Alex’s (Aniston) new role and increased iNFLuence within the media company may also be explored as teased in the season 3 finale. The repercussions of Bradley’s cover-up involving her brother’s actions at the U.S. Capitol are likely to continue shaping the narrative.

Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt mentioned in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the writing process for season 4 has begun, promising that the events of season 3 will have significant impacts on all characters.

Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson and Jennifer Aniston’s Alex Levy should be back for season 4. The two actors are also executive producers of the series.

Billy Crudup’s Cory Ellison, Mark Duplass’ Chip Black, Greta Lee’s Stella Bak, Karen Pittman’s Mia Jordan and Nestor Carbonell’s Yanko Flores are all also likely to reprise their roles in The Morning Show season 4.

Also, the UBS/NBN merger storyline may bring about more screen time for Elizabeth Perkins, who appeared as NBN president, Elena, in season 3. Chris Hunter, portrayed by Nicole Beharie, was being pursued by a Sports media network in season 3, so there is a possibility that she may not return for season 4. Even Paul Marks, played by Jon Hamm, may not have a significant storyline in upcoming seasons, but there is potential for his character to reappear, either seeking retribution for his UBS deal falling apart or as a subject on one of the news shows.

Julianna Margulies, who plays Laura Peterson, one of NBN’s star anchors and Bradley’s love interest, declined the opportunity to appear in season 4, so she will not be seen in the upcoming season for sure.

The cast will also see new additions, with Jeremy Irons set to play Martin Levy, Alex’s father and Marion Cotillard joining as Celine Dumont, a “savvy operator from a storied European family,” as reported by Deadline.
