The latest comebacks of the 2023/24 Premier League season - ranked
We've been treated to a healthy dose of Premier League comebacks already this season.
The decision to extend added time for even the most minor of in-game stoppages has led to an increase in late goals and late turnarounds. We're here for that drama.
Here are the best turnarounds so far this season, ranked by how late and entertaining they were.
11. Man City 2-2 Crystal Palace
We'll start this list with the draws since they aren't technically comebacks, but were still manic.
Manchester City were in no trouble at all in their home outing against Crystal Palace, leading 2-0 heading into the final 15 minutes of normal time.
A calamity of errors allowed Jean-Philippe Mateta to fire the Eagles level before Michael Olise fired home from the penalty spot in the 95th minute after Phil Foden had fouled Palace's first goalscorer.

10. Chelsea 4-4 Man City
A few weeks prior to that draw with Palace, City were pegged back by a penalty at Chelsea.
Cole Palmer, who only swapped the Etihad Stadium for Stamford Bridge that summer, rolled home from 12 yards on 95 minutes to secure a draw after Rodri seemed to have won it for City only ten minutes earlier.

9. Bournemouth 4-3 Luton
Moving onto wins, we start with one that wasn't late in the grand scheme of this list, but was impressive nonetheless.
Bournemouth trailed Luton 3-0 at half-time of their rearranged clash in March, but managed to win 4-3 thanks to four goals after the break, with Antoine Semenyo completing the turnaround on 83 minutes.

8. Newcastle 4-3 West Ham
West Ham missed the chance to take a huge step towards a fourth-successive season of European football when they blew a 3-1 lead up at Newcastle.
A controversial Alexander Isak penalty reduced the deficit to one goal on 77 minutes before Harvey Barnes equalised six minutes later. In the final minute of normal time, Barnes fired home a thumping winner.

7. Newcastle 1-2 Liverpool
Having been 1-0 down and playing with only 10 men for the majority of the Game, you would have forgiven Liverpool for rolling over in their early-season trip to Newcastle.
But Jurgen Klopp's men kept at it and were rewarded with one of the campaign's early comebacks, with Darwin Nunez slamming home goals in the 81st and 93rd minutes.

6. Liverpool 4-3 Fulham
You'd probably pencil in a comfortable Liverpool win when seeing they have Fulham at home on the horizon, but this was far from pedestrian for the Reds.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid put the Whites 3-2 up on 80 minutes after his side had twice fought back from a goal down, but there were still two further strikes to come.
Wataru Endo brought Liverpool back to level terms on 87 minutes, and Trent Alexander-Arnold provided the winning goal seconds later. Cue the scenes.

5. Wolves 2-1 Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham began the 2023/24 season on fire, but their campaign hit a major stumbling block in a 4-1 loss to Chelsea at the start of November.
Injuries and suspensions forced Spurs into several changes for their subsequent trip to Wolves, though they took an early lead through Brennan Johnson.
But the hosts kept knocking on the door and turned the game completely on its head thanks to goals from Pablo Sarabia on 91 minutes and Mario Lemina on 97.

4. Arsenal 3-1 Man Utd
This is a rather special entry - Manchester United led 2-1 at Arsenal after 89 minutes, yet somehow lost 3-1. Ain't that just football, eh?
Alejandro Garnacho's would-be winner was chalked off by VAR for an extremely marginal offside, and the Gunners rallied to score twice in stoppage time. Declan Rice put the hosts ahead on 96 minutes and Gabriel Jesus iced the game with 101 on the clock.

3. Man Utd 2-1 Brentford
The one time such a Game swung United's way this season came at home to Brentford.
The Bees were resolute after Mathias Jensen's first-half opener, but conceded to Scott McTominay goals in the 93rd and 97th minutes to squander a famous win at Old Trafford.

2. Tottenham 2-1 Sheffield United
Tottenham fought off the dreaded Manager-of-the-Month curse in some style back in September.
Postecoglou's young side were heading to a frustrating 1-0 loss at home to struggling Sheffield United, whose incessant time-wasting saw 12 minutes added on at the end of the 90.
Spurs made the most of them, with Richarlison heading in a 98th-minute equaliser and Dejan Kulusevski providing the 100th-minute winner.

1. Chelsea 4-3 Man Utd
Kulusevski's strike in September completed the latest comeback in Premier League history, but this record was broken in April by Chelsea in their 4-3 win at home to United.
The Blues squandered their early two-goal lead and trailed 3-2 heading into added time at the end of the second half, only for Palmer to equalise from the penalty spot in the 100th minute and then snatch the win in the 101st.
