Terrifying moment kids spotted climbing steep roof of 15-storey apartment block
The nail-biting moment two children climbed on to the roof of an apartment tower block, with nothing between them and the ground but a sheer 60m drop, has been captured by horrified neighbours.
They watched on helplessly as the children crawled up on to the roof of the 15-storey building in Leshan in south-western China’s Sichuan Province.

Phone footage of the young daredevils was later shared on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok — showing them creeping across the tiles inch by inch before the video ends.
There are no ropes, harnesses or even handholds between the children and the deadly drop to the concrete below.
The kids — apparently realising the extent of the trouble they were in — returned home unharmed, according to local media.
The clip attracted widespread attention on social media.
Many viewers criticised the children’s parents and blamed neighbours for yelling at the kids to come down rather than contacting the police.
One user said: “Dear, call the police, don’t just yell at them, the children will still be in danger on their way down, don’t wait.”
Another said: “Don’t yell, if they get scared from your shouting and accidentally (fall), you will be responsible.”
The video also triggered a response from the residential community’s property management.
Property staff claimed they installed protective barriers, re-introduced safety slogans and promised to follow up with the children’s parents.
