A new addition to the NHL odds is set for February 2025 as the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off will take place in lieu of the NHL All-Star Game.

The international competition features Canada, the United States, Sweden, and Finland playing for pride in a round-robin tournament in Montreal and Boston prior to a one-game final. Final rosters will be announced on Monday, December 2.

We're still a long way out from the first game on February 12, but here's an early look at the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off odds.

NHL 4 Nations Face-Off favorites

Canada (+135)

Colorado Avalanche teammates Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar were both named to Team Canada, along with Sidney Crosby, Brad Marchand, Connor McDavid, and Brayden Point.

Canada already has scoring talent in spades and will be spoiled for choice when filling out their roster, making them the logical 4 Nations Face-Off favorite.

USA (+175)

Team USA will be tough to score on, with defensemen Adam Fox, Quinn Hughes, and Charlie McAvoy already named to the squad. If Connor Hellebuyck gets the nod in net, that assertion will be even more true.

Auston Matthews is the top forward on the team along with Jack Eichel and Matthew Tkachuk.

Sweden (+490)

Team Sweden has a balanced initial roster with three forwards (Filip Forsberg, William Nylander, and Mika Zibanejad) and three defensemen (Gustav Forsling, Victor Hedman, and Erik Karlsson.

Sweden were the runners-up to Canada the last time NHL players competed in international hockey in the 2014 Olympics.

Finland (+700)

Finland is the only team that knows who its No. 1 goalie will be in this tournament (health provided) in Predators standout Juuse Saros.

Stars teaMMAtes Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell will try to stop Saros from seeing as many shots as possible, while Sebastian Aho, Aleksander Barkov, and Mikko Rantanen will be among those firing rubber at the opposition netminder.
