Syracuse Tested in First Game

Syracuse didn’t exactly look dominant in the first game but they were able to beat the Ohio Bobcats 38-22. At the end of the first quarter Syracuse was down 6-0, and they ended up having to fight back. In the second quarter the offense scored 17 pointsand in the third quarter, the offense scored 14 points. The Orange have a good one in Kyle McCord who transferred over from Ohio State. In the first game he completed 27 of his 39 passes for 345 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Running back LaQuint Allen rushed 15 times for 98 yards. Oronde Gadsden II caught seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. He could be in for a big season. 

On defense, there have to be some major concerns about the run defense. They allowed Anthony Tyus III to rush 166 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns. The passing Game also wasn’t great and they are going to need the defense to be a whole lot better here. 

Georgia Tech Looks for Third Win

Georgia Tech has won two Games so far this season, including an impressive one in the first Game against a very good Florida State Seminoles team. In the last Game against Georgia State, the Yellow Jackets ended up winning 35-12 victory. Haynes King had another strong Game completing 24 of his 29 passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. King has looked impressive the first couple of Games, and he’s going to continue the success. Running back Jamala Haynes also ran wild and he finished with 17 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Malik Rutherford caught seven passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. 

The defense has also been strong and in the last Game they gave up only 12 points. They could have been a little better against the pass, and if they want to take that next step forward, creating a few more turnovers is key. 

Syracuse vs Georgia Tech Prediction

Georgia Tech has a whole lot of confidence and they aren’t afraid to go on the road and to find success. Haynes King is going to have another big game, but it’s going to actually coem down to the run defense. Syracuse’s defense is awful and they are going to be awful again here with slowing down the run. Georgia Tech is going to run wild, and they are going to cruise to the victory.
