The Ole Miss Rebels and the South Carolina Gamecocks meet Saturday in college Football action from Williams-Brice Stadium. Here’s a South Carolina vs Ole Miss prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best South Carolina vs Ole Miss pick.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Rebels’ 2024 season kicked off with a 76-0 destruction versus an overwhelmed Furman team, then a 52-3 blowout win over Middle Tennessee. Ole Miss would keep rolling with wins over Wake Forest 40-6 and Georgia Southern 52-13 in the next pair.

Last weekend versus Kentucky, the Rebels were up 17-13 going into the final quarter but ultimately took an upset loss 20-17. QB Jaxson Dart logged 261 yards with one TD, and Henry Parrish led the rush with 62 yards and a score.

South Carolina Gamecocks Betting Preview

Over on the South Carolina side, they won their first two Games of the season. First came a 23-19 result versus Old Dominion then a 31-6 blowout win over Kentucky. In Game three the Gamecocks fell to LSU 36-33 in a tough result.

Matched up against Akron back on September 21, the Gamecocks got back into the win column. South Carolina scored in every quarter during a 50-7 blowout win. QB Robby Ashford finished with 243 yards and two TDs, while also leading the rush on 133 yards and a score.

South Carolina vs Ole Miss Prediction

I’ll stick with Ole Miss. The Rebels need a good bounce-back after a rough effort versus Kentucky, though. Ole Miss notched 353 yards (261 passing), 14 first downs, eight penalties and just 1-of-10 on third-down tries in that crushing loss. The Rebels also held the ball for just 20:17, making it difficult to put points on the board.

As for South Carolina, they demolished the Zips in their last outing. The Gamecocks notched 549 total yards (273 rushing), 27 first downs and 6.9 yards per play. The third-down conversions (5-of-14) and penalties (seven for 70 yards) were the only real blemishes. That said, an angry Ole Miss will represent a steep increase in difficulty and I don’t think the Gamecocks will keep pace.

Andrew's Free Pick: Ole Miss Rebels -8.5
