Privately Owned Ski Slope In the Catskills Makes Mega Improvement
I am well aware that Fall has only just arrived but I was so excited to see the progress being made at one Hudson Valley Ski Slope I have to jump ahead to winter for just a minute.
Earlier this year Holiday Mountain Ski & Fun Park announced that they were working on the mountain this Spring and Summer in order to bring some new and exciting things for the upcoming season. Well, it seems they have made a lot of progress this summer and they are sharing the news in hopes of getting us excited for what's to come.
Catskill Ski Resort Announces Latest Pre-Season Improvement
Back in May, I shared how Holiday Mountain Ski Area was working on digging up the mountain and putting in new facilities. They were laying new pipes for snowmaking which has led to them installing 125 Snow Guns according to a Facebook post plus there were plans for a new chair lift which appears to be well on its way to being complete.

Fast forward to this week and they are sharing more details and showing the progress that has been made to be ready for the upcoming ski season. They shared this news in a Facebook post.
Holiday Mountain was on the brink of closing 2 seasons ago, just as dozens of other ski areas in the region had over the last half century. Fast forward 18 months - for one of those big corporate mountains, maybe the installation of a new "fixed grip" quad chairlift isn't worthy of a post. For loyal Holiday Mountain skiers - this is HUGE news, gets our hearts pumping! (Holiday Mountain via Facebook).
