Over on the Kennesaw State side, they took three losses to start the season as well. The Owls fell 28-16 to UTSA in their first game of the year. Game two was a 34-10 loss to Louisiana, then came a 31-10 loss to San Jose State on September 14.

Matched up against TN-Martin last weekend, the Owls were all tied up 10-10 by halftime but got outscored 14-3 from there in a 24-13 loss. QB Davis Bryson finished with 117 yards and two picks. Blake Bohannon was tops in receiving with 54 yards from four grabs.

I might try Jacksonville State here. Probably not touching it, though. The Gamecocks made short work of a struggling Southern Miss team in their last outing, posting 509 yards of offense (273 rushing), 8.0 yards per play and 22 first downs. Jacksonville State did have nine penalties in a sloppy Game, but overall it was a much-needed performance after three losses to start the year.

As for Kennesaw State, they had a pretty limp offensive effort in their loss to TN-Martin over the weekend. The Owls posted 215 yards total (149 passing) with just 3.3 yards per play and 13 first downs. They’ll need a shot in the arm before this weekend.
