Ronny Deila Completes Return to Management; Set to Appoint Shock Assistant
After being sacked by Club Brugge in March, former Celtic manager Ronny Deila has got a new job.
The Norwegian, who appeared at the Hoops’ Player of the Year night in May, has been appointed the new Head Coach of Abu Dhabi giants Al Wahda.
The side, who finished fifth in the Arabian Gulf League last season, has brought in Deila ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, citing his extensive CV as a key factor as to why he was hired:

The move itself is surprising, but what is even more astonishing is who Deila is set to appoint as his assistant.
Indeed, according to a report from The Scottish Sun, former Rangers and Celtic striker Kenny Miller will join the former Parkhead gaffer in the Al Wahda dugout.
The pair will likely be on astronomical wages given the riches involved in Football out in the Middle East. That is no surprise, but the link-up itself is vastly unexpected.
