A long-standing UEFA Champions League record involving Celtic, Paris Saint-Germain, and the Parc Des Princes was finally broken last night.

PSG took on Atletico Madrid on matchday four of the league phase, with both sides sitting behind the Hoops in the table pre and post-match.

Atleti ran out dramatic 2-1 winners thanks to a last-minute Angel Correa strike, but the hosts took the lead early on in the Game.

Indeed, midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery was played in by Ousmane Dembele and opened the scoring with a delightful dink over Jan Oblak.

The goal made him, at 18 years and 243 days old, the youngest scorer at the Parc des Princes in the UEFA Champions League (for or against PSG), ahead of Kylian Mbappé, when he, at 18 years and 337 days old, netted against Celtic in November 2017 [Opta].

Brendan Rodgers’ side lost 7-1 that night as the Parisians ran riot.

Mbappe, Neymar, and Co. were on fire, and they taught the Bhoys a lesson after an early Moussa Dembele opener, which gave Celtic some short-lived hope.

It’s impressive to see someone younger than Mbappe now reach the heights he did as a youngster; Celtic will hope Zaïre-Emery doesn’t come to haunt them later in the Champions League this season as the now-Real Madrid forward did many years ago.
