Olu Fashanu’s Mom’s Treatment Of Girlfriend At NFL Draft Goes Viral

A season removed from losing Aaron Rodgers to an immediate injury in his first game of year, the New York Jets came into the 2024 NFL Draft looking to shore up the offensive line.

General manager Joe Douglas opted to accomplish this by trading down one pick and selecting Olu Fashanu out of Penn State at No. 11.

During his stint with the Nittany Lions Fashanu exclusively played left tackle and never allowed a single sack. That is the sort of protection New York desperately needed last year.

As good as Fashanu promises to be for the Jets, he wasn’t even the biggest star of his own household on Thursday night.

On an evening that saw Mina Kimes’ provocative outfit go viral and J.J. McCarthy’s girlfriend’s leather outfit set the internet ablaze, Fashanu’s girlfriend and mother found their own unique way of making headlines.

Namely, for how his mom opted to treat his girl when the pick came in:

Fun times aside, it will be interesting to see what sort of impact Fashanu has on the Jets in 2024.

Clearly they needed to bolster the protection upfront, but it is unclear whether Fashanu will be able to influence that from the jump.

One way or another, regardless of what he does in Year 1, Fashanu’s mom and girlfriend will obviously be there cheering him on every step of the way.
