For this parlay I am going with 1 favorite on the run line and 2 underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs. 

San Diego Padres ML over Tampa Bay Rays (+110) 

The Padres are 5 Games back of Los Angeles in the National League West, but they are still playing good baseball and find themselves 5 Games inside the wild-card cut line. San Diego has won 4 of its last 6 contests and is an amazing 27-10 in its last 37. Randy Vasquez is assigned to keep the hot streak going and you have to like his chances in that effort. Through 3 August starts, Vasquez is sporting a 3.24 ERA through 16.1 innings and the Padres have won each of his past 2 starts. The Rays are countering with Shane Baz, who is no slouch of a MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW204337757 BCX0">starter but they have lost 3 of his last 5 appearances. An in-form San Diego squad has good value as the underdog.

Detroit Tigers -1.5 over Boston Red Sox (+150) 

The Red Sox were cruising 4-0 on Friday only to see their bullpen temporarily blow it, as it so often does. Boston surrendered three runs in the eighth inning and then another in the ninth before finally getting the job done in 10 innings. Still, that bullpen is concerning. MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW204337757 BCX0">Thus the Tigers have a pitching advantage in every way on Saturday. It is Tarik Skubal day, which is basically always good news for Detroit. Skubal is looking to get his team above .500, but MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW204337757 BCX0">really he is just putting the exclamation point on his Cy Young campaign. At the rate the Red Sox strike out, Skubal should mow down batters left and right this evening. Moreover, Detroit’s offense can be expected to do a lot of damage at the expense of Nick Pivetta. Give me the Tigers to win by multiple runs. 

Kansas City Royals ML over Houston Astros (+120) 

The Royals will be looking for revenge following last night’s Game in which they saw MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW204337757 BCX0">Houston walk it off in the bottom of the ninth. Taking the mound for K.C. is Cole Ragans, who is 10-8 this season with a 3.28 ERA. Yusei Kikuchi is toeing the rubber for the MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW204337757 BCX0">Astros and he is 6-9 with a 4.39 ERA. Despite finding success since he joined the Astros, Kikichui has historically struggled against Kansas City, going 2-2 in his career with a 5.80 ERA. The Royals have been swinging the bats slightly better than the Astros, so all things considered they have a good chance to win this one outright.
