MLB Divisional Series matchups and schedules | Playoffs 2024

The MLB postseason Division Series in both the American League and the National League have been defined. The Divisionals Series will be from October 5 to 12; the Championship Series will be from October 13 to 22. The World Series will be played from October 25 to November 2, if it is extended to seven games.

The 12 teams that made the playoffs were: New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and Houston Astros in the American League; while in the National League: Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, New York Mets and Atlanta Braves.

How will the postseason play out in MLB?

American League

*Both teams advanced directly to the Divisional Series.

Wild Card Round

Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros (ELIMINATED)

Kansas City Royals vs. Baltimore Orioles (ELIMINATED)

ALDS & NLDS schedules:

The ties will be decided across three games, with a fourth and fifth to be played if the scores are tied.

As usual, the times in between ties won’t be long, and all fixtures will take place in a space of just one week, with matches starting on October 5 and ending on the 12th of the same month, meaning we’ll get all the action in a jam-packed format, just the way we like it.
