Melbourne real estate agent slammed for ‘sad’ listing: ‘Literally the worst’
A social media influencer has slammed a Melbourne real estate agent after revealing their rental listing, which was advertised as a “family-friendly home”, was actually a car port.
Known on TikTok as “Jordie”, the man often reviews rental properties across the country.

In this video, the man takes his viewers on a virtual tour of the “sad” property in Doveton, Victoria.
“Harcourts you’re literally the worst,” the video’s caption reads.
Jordie explains the one bedroom and one bathroom studio is listed for $320 a week.
“But if you look closely on Google Maps it’s actually just a car port,” he says.
“There are a couple ways you can tell this place is illegally subdivided, which means you can’t get your name on any utilities or anything, so you can’t prove where you live.
“Also you have to share internet with the person living in the actual house instead of the car port.”
The tell-tale signs, Jordie alleges, which make him believe the place is illegally subdivided, are the fact there is only one letter box at the address and the listing states all bills are included in the rent.
“If you look at the post box on Google street view there’s only one, and it’s not for unit two,” he said.
Jordie went on to slam the fact the listing was advertised as a family-friendly home.
“Personally, I really enjoyed that the real estate agent said that this is ideal for the whole family,” he said.
“When it’s literally a studio converted from someone’s f****** car port.”
“They also said the property will leave you speechless which I guess is technically correct.”
The studio’s living room and kitchen were then revealed through images which showed rogue pipes hanging off the walls.
“I’m not a plumber, but I’m pretty sure all of this plumbing is not meant to be on the inside of the living area,” he said.
“And as for the kitchen, it has a range hood that looks like it needs its own range hood.”
The video has since gained over 90,000 views, and hundreds of comments from other horrified renters.
“How is this legal and then nothing happens to the agents?” one commented.
“’Captivating views’ if you love the feeling of being held captive,” another added.
“The sad thing is someone will actually be desperate enough to take it,” a third piped in.
