Born Karl Martin Sandberg on February 26 1971, Max Martin was raised in Stenhamra, a small locality in Stockholm County’s Ekerö Municipality with a population of 3,336 as recorded in 2010. As a child, Martin’s earliest encounters with music came when he studied under Sweden’s public music-Education scheme. The musician has since expressed that he owes his success to public music Education. Martin’s talent for the musical arts saw him through his teenage years. As a teenager, he sang in several bands before signing up to front glam-style metal band It’s Alive in 1985.
