John Legend Set to Hold a Concert in Hong Kong This October
John Legend is all set to return to Hong Kong after six years for a concert this October. The return of the Grammy-winning artist marks his first outdoor concert in the city.

Spend an evening with John Legend during his concert in Hong Kong
John Legend will be back in Hong Kong to belt out soulful melodies and make listeners’ hearts flutter on October 4. Tickets cost HKD 1880 (seated), HKD 1380 (seated), and HKD 780 (standing) respectively. Priority ticket sales will start on September 9 at 11 am and run until September 10 at 11:59 pm. Public sale will be available on September 12 at 11 am. So, make sure to purchase your tickets at Klook or Ctrip.
According to a press release, John Legend expressed how “Hong Kong has changed a lot” so he wanted to try performing in different venues. “There are outdoor performance venues all over the world. So, I believe it will be a different feeling to finally try to hold an outdoor concert in Hong Kong,” he said. He also noted that the weather will be cooler in October so he hopes “everyone will enjoy the stage by then.”

Like his stage name, John Legend is nothing short of a legend. The singer, songwriter, pianist, record producer, and actor began his career playing piano for Lauryn Hill’s song ‘Everything Is Everything’. He also performed backing vocals on Jay Z’s ‘Encore’ and Alicia Keys’ ‘You Don’t Know My Name’. Eventually, he released his first solo album ‘Get Lifted’ in 2004 which received double platinum certification. It also gave birth to his first hit song ‘Ordinary People’.
His second album ‘Once Again’ in 2006, also received commercial success. It gave way to his third album ‘Evolver’ in 2008. He went on to release ‘Love in the Future’ in 2013 with the chart-topping song ‘All of Me’. He has since released other albums such as ‘Darkness and Light’, ‘A Legendary Christmas’, ‘Bigger Love’ and ‘Legend’.
John Legend has won 12 Grammy Awards throughout his decades-spanning career. He made History as the first Black male to win all four major American Entertainment awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT) in 2018.
