Celtic fans are eagerly awaiting new arrivals as the club navigates a critical period of squad reinforcement. With the season rapidly approaching, the lack of fresh faces has left many supporters anxious. However, Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy has provided some insight into the ongoing transfer efforts.

Kennedy acknowledged the fans’ concerns and confirmed that discussions are well underway. “I think there’s a lot of conversations happening,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s a time when a lot of players have been on holiday and different things have been happening.”

This period, often marked by negotiations and planning, has seen Celtic’s management team working diligently behind the scenes. Kennedy elaborated, “A lot of conversations have been taking place. We come back for pre-season and hopefully in the coming weeks a few things will start to happen but there’s a lot of plates spinning and a lot of work getting done. Hopefully we’ll start to see that materialise over the coming weeks.”

The assistant manager’s comments suggest a busy and complex transfer environment Celtic are currently navigating. The anticipation of new signings is palpable, and the hope is that these efforts will soon yield tangible results.

Celtic’s need for reinforcements is urgent, especially as they aim to build on last season’s successes and address the glaring gaps in the squad — goalkeeper being the biggest issue at the moment. The next few weeks will be crucial in determining the club’s readiness for the new season.

Kennedy’s reassurances are cautious at best. But fans aren’t idiots, if the cogs don’t begin to turn as we head into July and the US tour, serious questions will be asked. The last two transfer windows have been pretty poor, it’s time to get back on track.
