'You should have come to the stage,' Diljit reacts to Nimrat’s concert post | The Express Tribune

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur exchanged messages on social media after Nimrat attended Diljit’s Pune concert during his ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour.

Diljit, known for his stage presence, responded to her post, playfully asking, "Tussi aeye c? Stage te aa jana c. (You were there? You should have come to the stage)."

In reply, Nimrat praised Diljit’s performance, saying, “That stage and spotlight belonged only and only to you!” She called herself lucky to have finally experienced his brilliance live.

Nimrat’s post described the concert as an “unforgettable” experience, where she danced to tracks like Vibe and Naina. She hailed it as the "BEST concert" she’d ever attended and lauded Diljit’s unmatched artistry.

She later shared a screenshot of Diljit’s comment, jokingly adding, “Alexa!!! Pehlaan dass dendi!! (Alexa! You should have told him earlier)."

This was Diljit’s sixth stop on his tour, following Delhi, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. Next, he will perform in Kolkata on November 30.

Nimrat's appearance comes amidst speculation linking her to actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has also been in the spotlight due to rumours surrounding his marriage to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan .Neither Abhishek nor Nimrat has addressed these claims, leaving them unconfirmed.

Their interactions during Dasvi promotions in 2022 have also drawn attention. Nimrat’s playful remark about marriages—"Marriages don’t last that long"—prompted a light-hearted response from Abhishek, who laughed and said, "Thanks," adding to the intrigue at the time.

On the professional front, Abhishek was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s I Want To Talk, which received positive reviews but has faced challenges at the box office after a slow start. Nimrat, on the other hand, appeared in the 2023 release Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video.

Previously, an old letter from Amitabh Bachchan to actress Nimrat Kaur resurfaced, reigniting discussions.

The letter accompanied by a bouquet of flowers, written in 2022, praised Nimrat for her performance in the film Dasvi.

The note, which Nimrat shared on her social media, shows Amitabh expressing deep admiration for her performance in Dasvi. The letter reads:

“We have hardly had any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at an event at YRF—for the Cadbury ad. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional—nuances, gestures, all! My deep admiration and congratulations. Love, Amitabh Bachchan.”
