1:34 pm ET Parx (Race 3) – Tiz Speedy 7/2 (2-star play)

This son of Tiznow has shown a good level of ability in 4 starts, finishing on the board in 3 of them including when making his debut on turf and finishing three-quarters-of-a-length 3rd in a 7.5-furlong maiden special weight at Parx at the end of May.

The pick is bred to appreciate the extra distance he gets today and he looks up to helping trainer Kathleen A Demasi improve on her 24% strike-rate (25/104) at this meeting. 

2:28 pm ET Parx (Race 5) – Healy’s Hope 2/1 (2-star play)

Trained by Josue Arce, Healy’s Hope has registered some solid efforts in defeat in recent starts, including when 1.5 lengths 3rd when dropped to this level for the first time since January in a 7-furlong contest in May.

The gelding advertised his wellbeing with a 4-furlong work at Parx on June 22 and with a good jockey in Julio Correa booked to ride, he looks capable of registering his 4th career success and a first at this venue. 

4:20 pm ET Parx (Race 9) – Baton 5/1 (1-star play)

The 4-year-old Baton has shown good form this year, including when delivering a 3.75-length victory in a similar race to this over a mile and 70 yards on a muddy track in March. The son of Divining Rod’s best effort in 2 subsequent starts came when he was 3rd over 9 furlongs in allowance company at Pimlico in May.

Mychel J Sanchez, on board for the previously mentioned victory, returns to the saddle today and. back at Parx. the selection looks capable of registering another victory.
