Farewell to Argentina: Lionel Messi Sends Message to Fans After Leading Argentina to Copa America 2024 Final
Lionel Messi sent a message to fans after helping Argentina reach the final of Copa America 2024.
Messi considers leaving Argentina Copa America 2024 team.
Not disappointing the fans’ expectations, Argentina played brilliantly and defeated Canada 2-0 in the semi-finals of Copa America 2024, thereby winning the first ticket to the final.
Lionel Messi shared about his team’s impressive victory: “Let’s enjoy what we are going through as a national team, as a collective. It’s not easy for us to reach the final again, to comPete again and to become champions. It’s very difficult and the whole team has to take advantage of it.”
“Because doing this is not easy and we did it again. I’m living like everything else these days: Enjoying it a lot and being aware, as happened with Fideo (Angel Di Maria) and Ota (Nicolás Otamendi), that this is our last battle,” the former Barca star hinted that he will retire from the national team after this year’s tournament.
Lionel Messi also pointed out the difficulties in this year’s tournament: “This is a very difficult cup, with a very bad pitch, harsh temperatures, difficult matches and with very difficult teams…
The fact that we are in the final again is something remarkable and something to celebrate. This is the fourth final in a row that we will play. It is easy to say but the whole journey is difficult. Let’s enjoy this moment, another final, God willing, we will be champions like the previous times.”
On the Argentine side, at least two players have announced their departure from the national team after Copa America 2024, midfielder Di Maria and center-back Otamendi.
