Talented Arizona running back James Conner has certainly been a key contributor to the Cardinals offense in 2024. Let’s review Conner’s relevant player data to better shed light on my previous statement.

In the three Games that James Conner has played for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL regular season, James Conner has compiled 189 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, five receptions, and 43 receiving yards.

I definitely like James Conner from a general matchup perspective. Why? The Commanders have had issues containing opposing running backs this season. Let me be more specific. Through three games played in the 2024 NFL regular season, the Washington Commanders are ranked a rather low 27th in total Draftkings points allowed a game (19.4) to opposing running backs. Keep in mind that the NFL has 32 teams in the entire league. Having stated that, being ranked 27th in any defensive category is clearly not good.

In summary, I think running back James Conner is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in this game. For that specific reason, I am backing Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NFL Showdown contest.

Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has wasted little time showing the world that he belongs in the NFL. In the three games that Marvin Harrison Jr. has played for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL regular season, Arizona starting quarterback Kyler Murray has targeted Harrison Jr. a massive 22 times. In those 22 targets, Harrison Jr. tallied ten receptions, 198 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns.

I fully expect the talented rookie wide receiver to continue his outstanding play versus a vulnerable Washington Commanders secondary on Sunday afternoon.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels has been playing exceptional football from a statistical perspective. In the Commanders 38-33 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, Jayden Daniels tallied 254 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 39 rushing yards, and added a rushing touchdown.
