Decadent Delights: The City’s Most Tasty Dessert Cocktails
Who needs dessert after dinner when they can sip on a tasty treat instead? Prestige rounds up some of the city’s most honeyed cocktails.
WATERMARK’S SIGNATURE COCKTAIL
Last month, the waterfront restaurant Watermark celebrated its reopening with a revitalised menu featuring coastal cuisine and a refurbished venue, but with the same stunning views of Victoria Harbour. Situated on the top floor of Central’s Pier 7, it’s the perfect place to unwind, refuel and soak up the ambience. Made with Flor de Caña 4YO, Malibu, raspberry, guava juice and lime, Watermark’s colourful signature concoction is a delight for both your tastebuds and Instagram timeline.

BARCODE’S MANGO STICKY RICE
Famous for its cocktails, coffees and desserts, Barcode has added a range of tasty new dessert-inspired concoctions to its menu. Mango sticky rice, Thailand’s most famous pudding, has been given an alcoholic makeover in the shape of a cocktail. Resembling the simple yet delicious dish, the Mango Sticky Rice mixes mango, coconut, sake and gin for the ultimate nightcap.

KINSMAN’S REDNAXELA
Already a Kinsman favourite, the Rednaxela is a glamorous dessert-style cocktail that plays tribute to the famous spelling error made when a clerk accidentally back-flipped the word “Alexander” in the name of the Mid-Levels terrace. In the same vein, the bar’s mixologist turned the recipe of the classic Alexander cocktail upside down by using ingredients from Hong Kong and southern China. The result is a creamy blend of thick soy milk, monkfruit spirit, fenjiu and red bean liqueur that gives the OG a serious run for its money.

THE STAGE’S JASMINE MARTINI
Part of the recently opened Sophia Loren Hong Kong, The Stage Music Bar is fast becoming a hot spot thanks to its epic Entertainment and spellbinding cocktails. Celebrating the vibrant spirit of 1970s Italian cabaret, The Stage encapsulates a mix of elegance and live music that brings a new level of glamour to the city’s nightlife scene. The signature Jasmine Martini blends Jasmine infused gin, Jasmine tea and citrus for a sweet but refreshing post-dinner tipple.

UMA NOTA’S OKINAWA DRIFT
Located on the corner of Hollywood Road and Peel Street, Uma Nota is Hong Kong’s first Brazilian-Japanese street food-restaurant. And while the two countries couldn’t be further apart geographically, Uma Nota combines Japanese ingredients with Brazil flair and flavour. After your multi-cultural feast, end your night with the new Okinawa Drift, which comprises cinnamon-infused vodka, almond milk, coconut cream, an espresso shot and Okinawa black sugar – it’s what Japanese fusion fantasies are made of.
