Former Celtic striker, Craig Beattie has admitted that Kyogo Furuhashi has blown him away since he joined the club back in the summer of 2021.

The Japanese striker has been crucial to the success the Celtic fans have enjoyed over the last three seasons after 73 goals in 133 appearances helped to deliver seven trophies out of nine which includes a record-breaking eighth domestic treble.

Kyogo‘s record is genuinely outstanding and Beattie admits that there is a quality that the Japan international has that he has never seen before in Football and at Celtic.

Beattie can’t believe ‘how good’ Kyogo is at Celtic

Craig Beattie has played with some of the most talented strikers that Celtic have ever had. Released by Dick Advocaat at Rangers, Beattie joined Martin O’Neill‘s Celtic in 2003 and played alongside the likes of Chris Sutton, John Hartson and the legendary Henrik Larsson.

But none of those incredible players had what Kyogo has. And according to Beattie, he’s never seen anything like it.

Beattie said [Daily Record], “When you’re scoring those tap-ins regularly, you just feel unstoppable. Kyogo is still a fantastic player.

“His movement is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I remember being struck by just how good his movement was when he first arrived.

“When you’ve got quality players around about you like Matt O’Riley, you’re going to get good numbers. Adam came in and made an impact. He has been fantastic.

“But there’s 100 per cent still a role for Kyogo. It’s a good problem for Brendan to have if he has to work with both Kyogo and Idah.”

That is quite the accolade by Beattie. Many Celtic fans believe that Kyogo is the best striker the club has had since Henrik Larsson.

Crucial goals against Rangers, in cup finals and in Europe have proved that the Japanese forward really is a quality striker.

With rumours that Brendan Rodgers is looking to add Adam Idah to his Celtic squad for next season gathering pace, Kyogo will have some comPetition for his place should the Parkhead gaffer get this deal over the line.

And that is something that he will need now that it looks like Hyeongyu Oh looks set to leave the club.
