The stylish Claudia Shaw, who’s the Head of Style Advisory at Chanel Asia and a Prestige Women of Power honouree, embarks on a journey at the Hong Kong Museum of Art to discover “Fragrance of Time”.

“The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Fragrance of Time — In Search of Chinese Art of Scent” is an ongoing exhibition at the HKMoA that sheds light on the intriguing ancient Chinese culture of fragrance. Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Shanghai Museum, there are 160 sets of artifacts on display from both museums to present all facets of Chinese fragrance, from the way incense can be used for religious worship, to how aromatic sachets and scented water were used in every day life.

“Incense has played a vital role in Chinese culture for thousands of years,” Shaw tells us while she tours the exhibition with Terry Ng, the curator of Chinese antiquities at the HKMoA. Join them as they highlight a few of the most illuminating pieces at the museum.

“The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Fragrance of Time — In Search of Chinese Art of Scent” runs until October 16.
