Celtic Women Announce Trio of Departures
Celtic Women have today announced the departure of three players who contributed towards their historic 2023/24 season.
The Ghirls made colossal strides last term as they won their maiden SWPL title, at the same time making Celtic the first club in Scotland to have its men’s and women’s teams win their respective top-flight leagues in the same year.
Boss Elena Sadiku will want to make it back-to-back titles in the upcoming campaign but ahead of it, she has lost three players.
This morning, the departures of trio Imane Addi, Tiree Burchill, and Sydney Cummings were announced on X:
We can confirm Imane Addi, Tiree Burchill and Sydney Cummings have departed the Club.
The trio played their part in a historic season, helping lift our first ever SWPL title contributing throughout the campaign 🏆

Sadiku has drafted in a few signings so far this summer in the likes of Shannon McGregor, Amy Richardson, Bruna Lourenço, and Danish twins Mathilde and Signe Carstens.
There will undoubtedly be a few more acquisitions before the new SWPL season begins on the 11th of August when champions host Dundee United in Airdrie. It will be their very first Flag Day.
