Celtic submit application for another safe-standing section at Parkhead
Celtic fans are desperately waiting for the arrival of the new campaign and there some exciting news has come to light regarding the matchday experience at Parkhead.
Brendan Rodgers’ men are usually greeted by a 60,000-strong home support who look to generate a raucous atmosphere to drive their side over the line.
Of course, the Green Brigade play a major part in this, providing colour, noise, and a reference point for chants belted out around the stadium.
Since their large section was converted into rail seating in 2016, their iNFLuence has gone to another level, and it is clear to see that their passion transcends onto the pitch.
Now, there is news of another development that could help to take the atmosphere at Parkhead into another dimension.
Celtic apply for another standing section
Per the Glasgow City Council official website, Celtic have applied for a rail seating in the South West corner to accommodate the BHOYS, potentially adding another safe standing area at Parkhead.
The figure specified in the application is 455, and the matter is said to be ‘pending consideration’ after a submission was made on February 14th 2024.
It is unclear when the installation of this plan would be complete should it be given the go-ahead; nevertheless, there would be a real sense of excitement if the idea were to be put into practice.
67 Hail Hail will keep fans updated on any future developments, and hopefully, Parkhead can continue to be a difficult venue for opposing sides to contend with both in domestic matches and for European teams making their way to Glasgow’s east end.
Another campaign is fast approaching and Celtic will be determined to make their mark by delivering more silverware.
