Celtic’s Key Advantage For The First Glasgow Derby of 2024/25
Celtic’s fixtures for the 2024/25 season were announced this morning, with excitement beginning to build ahead of the new campaign.
Getting off to a flyer and continuing from where they left off will be of top priority for the Hoops as they kick off their title defence.

Securing ten points from 12 in Glasgow derbies last campaign went a long way in Brendan Rodgers securing three in a row, and one assumes clashes with Rangers will be equally as crucial this time around.
The first of the fresh campaign will be at Celtic Park and ahead of it, the champions have a slight advantage.
Indeed, the midweek before the maiden Glasgow derby of 2024/25, Rangers will play out the second leg of their Champions League play-off (assuming they make it through the third round).
Whether they are away or at home in the tie, it will undoubtedly prove strenuous, with so much on the line.
Celtic, on the other hand, will have a full week of preparation for derby day. This, coupled with the fact they’re at home, means the Hoops go into the Game – which is currently scheduled for August 31st at 3 pm – as favourites.
