Brendan Rodgers Believes Friday Night Star has Potential for Celtic Breakthrough

Brendan Rodgers has lauded Bosun Lawal for his performance in Celtic’s pre-season draw against Ayr United.

The match saw a pair of first-half penalties define the scoreline. Celtic’s Kyogo opened the scoring, converting a penalty after Odin Thiago Holm was brought down in the area. Ayr United responded with Anton Dowds equalising from the spot following a foul on George Oakley.

Rodgers took the opportunity to rotate his squad extensively, giving Game time to a mix of established players and promising youngsters as Celtic ramps up preparations for the upcoming season.
