BREAKING NEWS: Angel Reese Receives Major Clue About New Chicago Sky Teammate. .cau
Chicago Sky superstar Angel Reese has been given a huge hint on who her new teaMMAtes could be ahead of the 2025 WNBA Draft plan, with the upcoming class bursting with talent.
Reese, 22, and the Sky finished 10th in the WNBA in her rookie season. However, the ex-LSU Tigers ace had a standout individual campaign, earning WNBA All-Star honors after shattering rebounding records before a hand injury ended her participation.
Chicago missed out on the postseason, and their 10th-placed finish has seen them be handed the third-overall pick via the WNBA Draft lottery. The Sky also has the 10th overall pick from the Connecticut Sun, presenting the franchise with an opportunity to address some holes in their roster.
One of the Skys biggest problems in 2024 was their three-point shooting. They were one of the worst three-point-shooting teams in the WNBA, and Chicago can now address that concern. The 2025 draft will have a lot of College Basketball talent to choose from, and Reese has now learned the Skys thinking ahead of the April 2025 picking process.
Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca has admitted that Chicago is ideally looking for shooting guards and small forwards but he hasnt ruled out throwing the plan out the window if a player whos too good to pass up on comes available. Its going to be hard to pass up on certain players if they are there, but in all reality, were looking to build from the wings, he said.
We are ecstatic to receive another top-four draft pick, along with our No. 10 pick, to build on our roster and create a winning franchise, Pagliocca added on the Skys official website after their third-overall pick was confirmed. As the draft talent pool continues to expand, we look forward to adding exceptional new stars to the Chicago Sky on draft night in April.
With the third overall pick, the Sky could look to Notre Dames Olivia Miles. Miles, a triple-double threat, opened her senior season with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Alternatively, Chicago could look at UConns Azzi Fudd, who has been dealt cruelly with injuries in recent seasons, but the talent is undeniable.

Fudd is a spectacular shooter, but she has yet to return to the court for UConn after missing last season because of a knee injury and isnt expected to play until Dec. Shes also the teammate of expected first-overall pick, Paige Bueckers, who may be heading to the Dallas Wings.
Looking down the draft board at the Skys second pick at tenth, there are several top options who can further boost Chicagos three-point shooting. Texas Rory Harmon may be available but like Fudd, she has struggled with injuries, playing just 12 Games last season.
Fifth-year college ace Te-Hina Paopao is also an option and has a career 40.9 percent 3-point completion. Paopao transferred to South Carolina ahead of last season and won a national championship after spending three years at Oregon.
