Benji Siegrist Pictured With Celtic Cult Hero Down Under
Summer is upon us and Celtic players are enjoying a rare bit of downtime after helping to secure a domestic double last Saturday.
A few bhoys recently attended the weddings of Josip Juranovic and Greg Taylor while Paulo Bernardo has been galavanting in the States.
Daizen Maeda and Kyogo are back in Japan but perhaps the Celt who is furthest away from Glasgow is Benjamin Siegrist.
The backup goalkeeper is enjoying some time in Australia with his partner and recently, he linked up with Celtic cult hero Aaron Mooy. The pair posed for a picture that appeared on Siegrist’s Instagram:
Very few players have had as great an impact at Celtic as Mooy did in his year at the club. The Aussie midfielder scored seven goals and assisted 11 in 42 appearances, winning a treble in the process.
He became a fan favourite in Glasgow, the Parkhead faithful regularly chanting his name to the tune of ‘Daddy Cool’ by Boney M.
Now 33, Mooy is a year into his retirement and appears to be enjoying himself following a near-on perfect swansong with the Scottish champions.
